In last week's episode, we saw Sweets off his psychological game. Then he expressed his desire to leave his job so he can actually help people with psychology rather than be an FBI profiler. By the end of the episode, he was granted a leave a absence.
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.
Monday's episode titled "El Carnicero en el Coche" -- translated to The Butcher in the Car (thanks high school Spanish and free translation!) further explores Sweets' absence. Let's just say I don't like it. I don't like it one bit.
Bones Recap: Booth and Brennan Go Undercover>>>
While combing through evidence, Brennan, Hodgins and Cam discuss their theories on Sweets.
It's interesting to note that all three of them have differing views on the situation. Cam, the boss, believes he's only using up his vacation time, which sounds understandable. Hodgins, meanwhile, can't seem to wrap his head around the fact that Sweets wants to do something else when he's a profiler, and "that's what he does." Brennan, always the rational ones, thinks Sweets' career change makes sense, given the fact that American males will most likely make a career change in his mid-to-late 20s.
The right answer is a mix of all three. It's totally understandable to wonder what else Sweets -- or anyone, for that matter -- can do with their lives other than what they're doing at that exact moment. He'll probably be off for a little while and then realize he wants to come back to the Jeffersonian.
As for the case itself, Hodgins and Brennan have a funny exchange as they both mess up the evidence and both give the other grief about it.
Sweets is MIA
Check out the next clip, where Booth uses his super FBI skills to track Sweets down.
Booth said Sweets hasn't checked in and he hasn't called. How rude. Doesn't Sweets remember that Booth gave him a place to stay -- for a very long time -- after he broke up with Daisy? And he hasn't even given him a courtesy call?
Anyway, Sweets is now working with the youth and really liking it. But he agrees that he will help Booth for a case if he calls -- and if Booth is sure that only he can help with the case. It sounds like Booth enlists Sweets' help pretty quickly, as you can see in the photo gallery of the episode at the bottom of this article.
Will that case make Sweets realize that he wants to come back to the FBI or will it make him see he really doesn't want to come back? Tune in to find out.
Bones airs Mondays at 8pm on FOX.
