Bones season 8 continues on Monday, April 22 with an episode called "The Pathos in the Pathogens." Check out the synopsis and preview video to find what happens when a deadly virus hits the lab and infects one of the team.

First up, let's take a look at the synopsis for the episode from FOX:

The Jeffersonian team rushes to prevent a viral outbreak while investigating the murder of journalist Mia Garrett after her infected body is found at a biohazard facility. When the mutated virus that killed Mia infects Jeffersonian intern Arastoo Vaziri, their only chance of saving him is by solving the murder. Tension and passion build as the team races against the clock to find the killer - and the cure.

In the preview video for the episode, the identity of the one who gets cut by the remains is kept a secret, but we already know it's Arastoo from the synopsis (not to mention the fact that Emily Deschanel also spoke about it in a recent interview with TVLINE.

Here are a few more things we know from watching the preview:

  • The body in the lab is infected with a virus that could lead to a deadly outbreak.
  • Booth works from outside the lab, presumably to diminish the chance of spreading the disease.
  • When Booth uses the work "bioterrorism" you know things are scary.
  • The sheer look of terror on Cam's face when she finds out that Arastoo could be infected was enough to ensure this episode will be intense.

What do you think now that you've seen the preview and read the synopsis for this episode of Bones? We all know now that it was Arastoo who was infected, what do you think that will to his and Cam's relationship? Do you think it's possible that he could really die or will the team find the cure in time?

Bones airs on Monday nights at 8pm on FOX.
