is over but if everything goes to plan, fans won't have to wait that long to see David Boreanaz on TV. As was previously reported Boreanaz has landed the starring gig in a CBS pilot about Navy SEALs.
It's a move that his Bones
co-star Emily Deschanel respects but doesn't completely understand. In an interview with TVLine,
Deschanel explained that she has no plans to do something similar any time soon.

Deschanel was apparently among one of the first people that Boreanaz told when he landed his new show. "David texted me the news and I wrote back, 'Amazing. Good on you,'" the actress said.
Starring in a new show is something that Emily can't see herself doing this soon after Bones' series finale. "I'm just so impressed that he's willing to do that right now," she explained. "But that's not where I'm at. I'm at a place where I need time to grieve and process the show ending. I'm still recovering."
It was an emotional experience for Emily filming the finale. Deschanel admitted to "bawling" while filming Brennan's final scene with the interns and is she not quite over it. The actress is almost treating the end of Bones like the demise of a close friend or family member.
"It comes in waves," Deschanel explained of how she is processing the end. "It hit me for sure when I finished [shooting the finale]. What I miss now is the people I worked with, the actors and the crew. I'm mourning that I don't get to see those people every day. It will never be the same. I'm in the process of mourning the show itself. I think that will take longer to mourn, to kind of know what the show was for me and how it fits into television history."
So what do you think? Do you feel similar to Emily and need time to process Bones' finale? Are you excited to see David Boreanaz on a new show? Do you hope Emily follows suit with a new series sooner rather than later?
