No, Brennan isn't getting a boyfriend. It's much darker than that.
We haven't seen many truly evil bad guys so far in this season of Bones. Back in the good old days of the Gravedigger and Gormogon, the cases were started by some truly nasty types and not by fed-up bartenders. Not that this was a problem during the magnificent "Maggots in the Meathead" episode, but that was a sympathetic killer.
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.
That's all about to change.Michael Ausiello has reported
that Arnold Vosloo has been cast as Jacob Ripkin Broadsky, an evil sniper bent on assassination.
Have you ever noticed that people with more than two names are often evil? This is with the obvious exception of Mr. Vincent Nigel-Murray, of course.
The evil Broadsky is the culprit in the assassination of a major recurring character, although there is no word as to which character that would be. I'm going to guess Caroline, since she's the only recurring character likely to attract the attentions of the sniper types out there. Although some of the squinterns can be awfully irritating... Or maybe it's Hannah! That would take care of a certain problem quite nicely. (Sorry Hannah.)
Broadsky's character will work as a nemesis for Booth, much as the Gravedigger was a nemesis for Brennan and Gormogon was a nemesis for Hodgins (not that the show ever explored that angle, but Gormogon was totally an evil version of Hodgins). Both are snipers, but they have gone in very opposite directions.
The sniper character will not get caught quickly, and Vosloo is set to reappear in several episodes starting this winter. The actor has a strong resume when it comes to playing evildoers -- he played a terrorist on 24
and the titular baddie in The Mummy
and The Mummy Returns
But we all knew Seeley Booth was just as badass as Jack Bauer.
What do you think of this development? Does Booth need a nemesis? Most importantly, who do you think gets assassinated? Let us know in the comments section!(Image courtesy of NBC)
