Before we go to the preview, Fox reports that Bones
' viewership is up 14 percent from last fall. If Bones
was known before as a cult show, its season-high 10.9 million viewers is slowly becoming a very popular cult.
The last episode of the Fox procedural opened with some state troopers in training on why we do not shoot tear gas into meth labs – because they tend to explode. In perfect timing, a body came propelled from the meth lab. At first, it was thought to be the body of a struggling investor's father. But when a second body surfaced, the team is suddenly unsure of what was happening and who was responsible. We also got to meet Booth's little brother Jared (Brendan Fehr) – a navy man with a new job at the Pentagon. Brennan was obviously smitten with him, despite warnings from Angela and Cam not to sleep with him because it'd be a little creepy (and that's his "Booth-lite").
On tonight's episode of Bones
, Temperance and Seeley are on their way to China when Temperance is called on to help identify some pre-historic remains with her trusty partner in tow to watch over the highly sensitive equipment. On their flight, a flight attendant discovers a fully cooked human body in the plane's industrial microwave. Several thousands of feet above air, the duo has no choice but to use Brennan's high-tech equipment to send evidence back for processing.
When they get back some feedback from the Jeffersonian, they are able to identify the body as that of a travel writer working on a controversial story about airplane pilots. It actually becomes tricky, because once they land in China, they lose jurisdiction over the case, so they must solve it before they do. Meanwhile, back in the states, we witness how Angela and Roxie's relationship progresses as Hodgins tries to move on.
