Before we go to the preview of tonight's episode on
Bones,
David Boreanaz, who plays Booth on the series, said it would really help
Bones if he was given more action sequences. Sounds like a valid request, as he plays an FBI agent who works with forensic scientist Bones (
Emily Deschanel). This, after revealing that he looks up to Bruce Willis more than any other actor. In fact, he plans to model his career after Willis', particularly how the 1985 romantic comedy series
Moonlighting led to movie roles for the actor. “I actually bumped into him ... and he couldn't have been nicer,'' he said.
The last episode of
Bones called “The Man in the Outhouse” turned out the way its promo promised – one of the gooiest cases thus far. An explosion in an outhouse left a body in the sewage. The body turns out to be that of a reality TV host who earned the ire of so many people that to single out just one who would want him dead was impossible. Also, we caught wind of Booth finding a pretty, half-naked guy in Bones' apartment, who'd later justify his presence by saying that “he can hold his breath for 3 minutes down there,” humoring Booth to no end.
Potential spoilers ahead.
On tonight's episode called “The Finger in the Nest,” Booth's son Parker finds a severed finger in a bird's nest. The team sets off to investigate and find the rest of the body. Once they find it, however, they realize that it was a dog who is responsible for the murder. They seek help from a dog-whisperer to wade through the suspected mutts (and opossum). In the process, the trail leads them to an illegal dog fighting ring and closer to the killer dog and its owner.
Catch
Bones tonight at 8pm on Fox.
