This week on Bones, Booth and Brennan attempt to solve a challenging murder case with family in town. "The Foot in the Foreclosure," the eighth episode of the fifth season, introduces us to Booth's grandfather Hank, portrayed by Days of our Lives star Ralph Waite, which only means we'll getting more scoop and dirt on Booth's backstory.
The episode kicks off with a baffling case of what appears to be caused by spontaneous combustion. The team eventually identifies the victims as plus-size lovers, though neither of whom seemed to have many enemies. This case alone is hard to track, and the arrival of Booth's grandfather Hank doesn't exactly make things easier.
As it turns out, Hank doesn't just come to live with Booth, he also tags along as Brennan and Booth investigate the ashes and charred remains found by a real estate agent while showing a property to prospective buyers.
Meanwhile, the arrival of Hank implies that Booth has some tough family decision to make but not before we see Hank dancing to the tune of "Baby Got Back." Hank also attempts to play matchmaker for Booth and lets Brennan in on some family secrets.
