During the second episode of the Fox procedural
Bones, Booth (
David Boreanaz) found a half-naked man in Bones' (
Emily Deschanel) apartment. Bones, who wasn't exactly shy in admitting to purely physical relationships, might just have given
Bones viewers a hint on how their promise of a Bones-Booth hook-up would shape up.
As for the ratings,
Bones delivered the goods. The Fox show pretty much retained its 9.7 season premiere viewers, with 9.15 million who tuned in nationwide for the next episode. Consequently, it conquered the night's 8pm opening slot by two shares in the demographics. Things weren't as cheery when 9pm rolled around for Fox, however, as the season premiere of
‘Til Death and
Do Not Disturb lagging behind the other major networks' offerings.
Meanwhile, Twentieth Century Fox Home Entertainment just announced that
Bones' season 3 DVD will be available a little more than a month from now on November 18. The comprehensive five-disc package will contain all 15 full-hour episodes plus four bonus episodes from Season Four (by the time it gets out, all four episodes would've aired already anyway).
As DVDs go, however, this package will include some nifty features, such as three extended episodes, a gag reel, an extended kissing scene between Bones and Booth (in "The Santa in the Slush"), and director's takes. Like all those before it,
Bones Season 3 DVD is presented in wide screen with English 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound with either English, French, or Spanish subtitles.
Other than Boreanaz and Deschanel,
Bones also stars
Michaela Conlin,
Eric Millegan, T.J. Thyne,
Tamara Taylor, and
John Francis Daley. This set features nearly 700 minutes in running time, and goes for $59.98 in the U.S.
Catch
Bones on Wednesdays, 8pm on Fox.
