Ok, everyone, two important things to address: 1) No, I am not dead and 2) Yes, Bones has finally returned, so we can all just take one deep sigh of relief.  Better?  Alright, let's get to it!

This week's episode of Bones, the Season 6 premiere entitled "The Mastodon in the Room" picked up seven months later from where we left off last season, with Booth in Iraq, Brennan and Daisy in Indonesia, Hodgins and Angela in Paris, and Sweets and Cam left in D.C.  Upon receiving an urgent call from Caroline, all the Squints return to help Cam keep her job.

"We need to get back home."

So, I have to say that I really liked seeing what Booth and Brennan were up to during their time away from the Jeffersonian at the beginning of this episode.  Looks like they were pretty much still doing the same things though: Booth saving people and Brennan kicking everyone's butt.

And Daisy was, of course, still Daisy, and apparently Sweets took up a new hobby: piano playing.  Cam was still doing her thing back in D.C., and the only people we unfortunately didn't get to see were Angela and Hodgins.  Maybe what they were up to in Paris was way too risque for the public to see, perhaps?  I'm thinking yes.

The Homecoming

The entire Squints squad reunites at the FBI in D.C. in order to keep Cam from losing her job upon the request of the "linchpin" Caroline, and, man, was it good to see them all back together again.  Also, I'd like to just throw it out there that I'm now completely obsessed with Sweets' new look.

Yet, not everything is back to normal.  When Brennan left, the entire team fell apart and so did their headquarters at the Jeffersonian.  It was definitely strange not having the team there for most of the episode, but getting it back in the end was a perfect way to close it out.

The Case

The remains of a little boy are found, and Cam is hoping they belong to a missing, two year-old boy named Logan Bartlett so that she can keep her job.  However, the Squints prove otherwise.  The bones belong to a three-year old Asian child who choked to death on a wooden screw and was buried lovingly by his mother.

But, here comes Booth to the rescue as he finds out that Logan Bartlett was never dead and was instead kidnapped by his father so that he could get revenge on the boy's mother for formerly being an alcoholic.  Can you say crazy?

Hodgela is pregnant!

Oh. My. Goodness.  Angela and Hodgins are going to have a baby!  How beyond cute is that?  The only other person who knows so far though is Brennan, and Angela would like to keep it that way for awhile.

Oh, and while we're on the subject of relationships, it seems as though Sweets is no longer so sure about moving on from Daisy, even though Booth told him to, after having shared a passionate kiss with her in front of the elevator.  What do you guys think?  Should he move on or take her back?

Alright, so we've got a bit of a brand new Brennan on our hands now, everyone.  Clearly more socially aware, Brennan admitted that Caroline was the "linchpin," told Angela she loved her like a sister, hired Wendell back as an intern, professed to wanting to give Caroline a hug, and decided to stay in D.C. even though she wanted to go back to Indonesia because it was what was best for the team.

Of course, Rome wasn't built in a day, and Brennan's still got a long way to go when it comes to her feelings for Booth which she still won't admit to, but I am still so very proud of her.  Oh, and might I just say, Booth was a little too passionate about his new girlfriend for my liking.  Anyone else with me on that one?  Sound away, my friends!
