So we all know that Booth and Bones both had difficult childhoods, and it's probably one of the reasons why they work so well together. Well, that and their obvious sexual tension. But there is still no doubt that we know way more about Bones' family than Booth's. So, when are we going to find out more about the Booth's?
Well, as luck would have it, the November 19 episode of
Bones, "The Foot in the Foreclosure," features Grandpa Hank Booth, and executive producer Stephen Nathan says we will even learn more about why Booth's abusive father abandoned him at age 11 in this episode.
According to David Boreanaz, "Booth's father had some issues, and we're going to find out more about how painful it was for me growing up with that man. My grandfather was a much nicer person."
I don't know about you, but I can't wait to see "Pops." He will be played by the lovely Ralph Waite, and in this episode, he will leave a nursing home to come live with Booth. He will also tag along with Bones and him to investigate a murder involving human remains that were found by a real estate agent while showing a house to some prospective buyers. "This is a really good murder," promises Nathan. "All that's left is ash and one foot, and Hank can't help but tag along." Sounds pretty interesting, right?
Oh, and in more Booth family news, Hart Hanson says that we will eventually meet Booth's father later on this season. He also says that Booth's mom is "probably alive" but "wasn't around for most of his life." I don't think we'll be seeing her anytime soon, but let's just hope Hanson will stay true to his word because I really want to see Booth's dad.
