'Bones' Fan Columnist: 100 Episodes, Endless Possibilities
We've got one more Bones episode until the winter hiatus, and that means that after this Thursday's episode, our favorite show will not be back on until April 8.  I know, right?  That will be exactly 62 days that we will be without Booth and Bones and the rest of the Squints.  I personally do not know how I'm going to get through it yet, but, for now, I figured I'd expound on my theories for the hundredth episode given some clues I've seen in the past few episodes.

WARNING: Possible spoilers below!

So in the hundredth episode, "The Parts in the Sum of the Whole," we know that Sweets'  book has just been released, and Booth and Bones immediately go talk to him in his office, telling him that he made a big mistake.  Apparently, they have to tell him about their first case together, and to the flashback we go!  Now, according to Stephen Nathan, the most shocking thing about this episode is "how much Booth and Brennan really like each other when they initially meet."

Also, when being questioned about this episode, Hart Hanson said, "Did I say it was their first kiss?  Because I could have."  Additionally, it's already been confirmed by Emily Deschanel that there will be multiple kisses.  So, here's what I'm thinking given these few tidbits of information.  We will see Booth and Bones kiss during the flashback, and we will see them kiss at the end of the episode after the flashback.

Yet, if they liked each other so much, how did they end up hating each other in the pilot?  Well, to explain this, I go to a quote from David Boreanaz.  While eating some cake from the celebratory Bones hundredth episode party and talking to local news stations, Boreanaz said, "You know what's so nice right now? Everybody's celebrating the 100th episode, the next scene we have to do, she's gonna slap me in the face!" And there you have it, folks!

Now I'm not exactly sure why this slap comes about, but I'm willing to bet that it's the reason why Booth and Bones didn't like each other very much in the pilot.  But, what do you think?  Why do you think Bones slapped Booth?

Now, in regards to why I think Booth and Bones will kiss after the flashback is over, I turn to David and Emily themselves.  According to Emily, "Their relationship changes completely during the [100th] episode," and according to David, "As the episode progresses we'll go back and forth from the past to the office and have a big reveal at the end -- something happens." Of course, I believe this something is that Bones finally realizes she loves Booth.

In order to support this theory, I would like to call attention to the most recent Bones episodes, namely "The Proof in the Pudding" and "The Dentist in the Ditch."  In "The Proof in the Pudding," we saw Bones do something huge for Booth (she declared that the remains of the victim brought to the Jeffersonian were not President Kennedy's), and we saw Booth keep pushing for the truth even though it might have hurt him, something he said he learned from Bones.

In "The Dentist in the Ditch,"  we heard Bones say that when she first met Booth, she did not believe in love, but rather thought of the prospect of it as brain chemistry.  However, now she believes in love, and that is all thanks to Booth.  Clearly, the two have learned a lot from each other, and I think that now that Bones has finally accepted love, she will finally realize she loves Booth and be ok with that.

Now, Stephen Nathan said that he can't see the two consummating their relationship for real any time this season, and I definitely don't see those two getting married, but maybe we'll finally get to see a real relationship.  Anyway, you've now heard my thoughts on the hundredth episode, but what do you think?  Leave a comment below!
