Bones season 8 continues on Monday, January 28, with an episode called "The Twist in the Plot." From what we can see in the preview and synopsis of the episode, it looks like this one is going to have a lot of people thinking about their own mortality.
First up, let's take a look at the official synopsis according to FOX:
The team investigates the remains of two bodies that were found at the same burial plot. Meanwhile, Brennan tries to comfort Akshay Mirza (guest star Vik Sahay) after he learns of the death of his business partner.
Already from that we can see that this is going to be another complicated case for the team as the Smithsonian. Two bodies in one plot? Guest star Vik Sahay (most recognizable from his previous role on Chuck) needing comfort from Brennan? Oh yes, I'm definitely in.
In the short preview video from the episode, we find out that one of the bodies in the plot was something called a death consultant. The case seems to be making more than a few people think about their own demise someday and what should be done with their belongings when that happens. For such a heavy subject, it looks like it will bring up some funny conversations.
Here are a few more things we know from the video:
- While some people hire doulas for birth, it appears that others like to hire doulas to help them with death.
- Poor Akshay has only two weeks to live. I wonder if he was getting help from the death doula as well?
- Booth has his entire will written and testament out, but Brennan's not happy to hear that it's on a sticky note.
- Hodgins gets to play with a whole lot of bugs again and he looks extremely pleased about it.
What do you think now that you've read the synopsis and seen the preview for this episode of Bones? Got any guesses as to why two bodies were found in one burial plot and what their connection could be? Do you think Brennan can talk Booth into making out a proper will?
Bones airs on Monday nights at 8pm on FOX.
