Blood Ties . A no-nonsense medical professional and coroner, she considers herself to have seen it all, and maintains a solidly calm (if somewhat dour) outlook on things. However, detective Vicki Nelson starts challenging the doctor's implacability with the unusual, downright supernatural cases she's consulted on. Dr. Mohadevan seems to be aware of what Vicki's confronting, though she also appears reluctant to directly deal with it. She provides useful information and arcane advice to Vicki far outside a coroner's usual scope of knowledge, hinting at a greater background with the occult than the good doctor would readily admit.
