Miguel Ferrer was born on February 7, 1955 in Santa Monica, California and is the cousin of George Clooney. He was raised in Hollywood, thus was very influenced by showbiz culture. As a child, he idolized Batman and when he grew older, his interests shifted to music. In 1983 he was given a small part in the movie The Man Who Wasn't There and Star Trek III: The Search for Spock. He also appeared as guest star on the series ER, Twin Peaks, Tales from the Crypt, Will & Grace and Miami Vice. He also played Dr. Garret Macy in the drama series Crossing Jordan.

Jonas Bledsoe is played by Miguel Ferrer on the new NBC television series Bionic Woman. Jonas is the director of the Bionics program which saves the life of Jaime Sommers, a bartender who gets caught in an accident, leaving her at the brink of death. Her only hope for survival is the nanomachines called "anthrocytes" that heal her body at an exponential rate, thus helping her to recover. However, these nanomachines also give her an extraordinary ability to heal faster than any normal human being can—she is almost a mutant or superhuman.
