Karen Lucy Hale, who was born on June 14, 1989 in Memphis, Tennessee, started out as a singer for the American Juniors Band in 2003. After they disbanded, she ventured into acting, appearing as guest on shows such as
Drake & Josh , Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide,
The O.C. , and How I Met Your Mother. She was also included in pilots for Secrets of a Small Town, The Apostles and American Family. Hale was recently cast for roles on the film Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2 and the television series Bionic Woman.
Becca Sommers from Bionic Woman is played by Lucy Hale. Becca is a budding hacker who helps her sister, Jaime to reconnect with their parents who have neglected them due to their previous activities involving activism and saving the world. Bionic Woman follows Jaime, the average girl who gets into an accident and is later healed by advanced technology which transforms her into a modern day superwoman in the form of Bionic Woman.
