Fans of ABC's
Big Shots will be relieved to know that dramedy has not been cancelled. Word comes from show star
Christopher Titus himself, who told Hollyscoop TV that “the rumors of our demise are greatly exaggerated.”
Reports that
Big Shots was canceled spread when the network pulled off the show last week and placed the new
Angie Harmon-led drama,
Women's Murder Club, in its post-
Grey's Anatomy timeslot. This week, a sneak preview episode of
October Road will be airing during
Big Shots' hour, which means that the show will not return until next Thursday, November 29.
For the meantime, fans can tide themselves over with some spoilers for the upcoming episode of Big Shots.
Next week's episode, entitled The Way We Weren't, has Duncan (
Dylan McDermott) testing his adventurous side by going to great lengths to regain his high position at Reveal. James (
Michael Vartan) shifts his attention from his current relationships to a custody battle when Stacey (
Wendy Moniz) tells him that she is relocating to California. Karl (
Joshua Malina) is forced to confront his past when an old high school bully applies for a membership at Firmwood.
Meanwhile, Brody's (Titus) creative side is awakened when he finds hidden love-poems written to Janelle by her former flames.
Guest stars in this episode include
Elisabeth Rohm (
Law and Order, Angel, Turks) as Alex Mason, Ryan Devlin (
Veronica Mars, Life with Fran) as Jack Wells, Eric Allan Kramer (
How I Met Your Mother, Monk) as Eddie Jenowski,
Richard Burgi (
Desperate Housewives, Las Vegas, Shark) as Gavin Carter and Matthew Alan (
Veronica Mars) as Mike.
“The Way We Weren't” was written by Emily Whitesell (
Brothers & Sisters, Crossing Jordan) and directed by Elodie Keene (
The Closer, House, Nip/Tuck).
Be sure to catch this all-new episode of
Big Shots, airing next Thursday at 10/9c on ABC.
