Sources have been digging up the dirt on the fictional polygamous Mormon fundamentalist family in Utah, the focal point of the series
Big Love. Since the hit HBO drama will be returning on January next year, the next few months should be devoted to getting hints regarding the surprises in store. Scouting the spoilers online has never paid off this much, and it would do one well to read on.
Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello, purveyor of TV secrets, recently answered questions regarding several shows. These range from
Grey's Anatomy,
The Unit,
Brothers & Sisters, and of course
Big Love. With what he revealed, the next season of the acclaimed controversial program should prove exciting.
A person named Jenn sent this question to Ausiello: What is the deal with
Big Love? Doesn't HBO know that some of us are eagerly anticipating the creepy, captivating antics of polygamists? When is the show returning?
The great Ausiello responded: “HBO's most entertaining drama series since
Deadwood launches its third season on Jan. 18, and it looks like the Grim Reaper has been elevated to a series regular. My
Big mole reveals that there will be at least two significant deaths this season, one of which is so top secret only a handful of people were allowed to witness it.”
He even quoted an insider from the set of
Big Love itself. “The scene wasn't on the call sheet and it was shot with minimal crew,” whispered the source. “But it wasn't too hard to figure out what was going on. The screaming was painful.”
Meanwhile, the buzz on
TV Guide revealed more shocking news about the show. Those who want to soften the blow for next season should continue reading.
A fan named Sarah K. asked
TV Guide Senior editors Matt Webb Mitovich and Mickey O'Connor for a bit of information on
Big Love. Mickey answered her question with, “Last season's chaos will come to a head when one of the central quartet suffers a devastating loss; another will ask a third for a divorce.”
With all those gasp-worthy tidbits on minds of fans, it's a wonder how long the anticipation will last. There's only a couple of months left to go before
Big Love returns, airing its third season on the 18th of January, 2009.
