Ginnifer Goodwin hasn't been seriously involved with anyone since her spilt with
American Pie actor Chris Klein. Nevertheless, that doesn't seem to bother the 29-year-old actress who is presently just eager to start working on the new season of HBO's
Big Love.
Going on its third season,
Big Love follows
Bill Paxton as modern-day Utah polygamist Bill Henrickson who lives in suburban Salt Lake City as he balances his three wives, seven children, and a mounting avalanche of debt and demands. On the series, Goodwin plays third wife Margene Heffman.
Recognizing a love and stability she couldn't find growing up, Margene gradually began to fall in with the polygamous family. Described as less complicated than Nicki and more pliant than Barb, she has been a safe harbor for Bill. Though the other wives tend to perceive her as inexperienced and unreliable, she typically responds with eagerness rather than indignation. She is also the most sexual of the three wives, despite recently giving birth to two babies.
“I'm just so anxious to be back around those cast members and play that fun character again,” Goodwin told
OK! magazine.
Just like eager fans, Goodwin is dying to find out what's in store for the new season of
Big Love.
“They won't even tell me," she said. "So if you hear anything, I'd love to know!”
Meanwhile, the premise of
Big Love is becoming more relevant with the recent situation involving a polygamist sect in Texas
“When we started the show it was the beginning of the attention surrounding Warren Jeffs and others," Ginnifer explained. "So we had been doing all this research... And we had known all these stories before. We were very aware it was real before we got involved.”
Big Love, which has been delayed until the fall, also stars
Jeanne Tripplehorn,
Chloë Sevigny and Amanda Seyfried, just to name a few.
