Big Love, Ginnifer GoodwinPlaying the youngest wife in the Henrickson household isn't such a chore for actress Ginnifer Goodwin.  Her unique Southern charm has captivated audiences of Big Love, and she's certainly bagged the attention of designer Tom Ford.  The first time film director chose Goodwin as his star in the film A Single Man, together with the acclaimed Colin Firth.  What's more, the fast-rising starlet has also been honored as MaxMara's “Face of the Future.”

In a Hollywood Hills dinner party last week, Ginnifer Goodwin gave an interview about her journey to prominence.  Along with several celebrities like Mandy Moore and Rose McGowan, she attended the event recognizing Mrs. Nicola Maramotti, the First Lady of MaxMara.  The naturally friendly Goodwin began to talk fashion, starting from the little black dress she looked glamorous in.

“I worked with my stylist, Penny Lovell; we have a lot of fun,” she explained.  The star of Big Love was also decked in a pair of electric-blue patent heels.  In a humbling, honest way, she says, “They're Courtney Crawford.”

Despite that, Goodwin admits that she prefers flats to heels.  “I only wear heels when a stylist puts me in them.  My boyfriend [actor Chris Klein] and I like exactly where the tip of my head hits his body.  Heels throw off our dynamic.”

It's a wonder how this highly acclaimed actress got heavily involved with fashion.  Of course, the entertainment industry relies heavily on appearances.  But Goodwin doesn't seem the type to depend solely on looks.  She even wears leggings not to keep up with trends but for comfort.  “Whether they're in or out, they keep you warm!”

Sure enough, she's the kind of person to take control of fashion instead of letting it control her.  “I express myself through clothes but clothes don't define me,” Goodwin said firmly.

Growing up, she described herself as “that kid who's obsessed with Judi Dench and Fiona Shaw.”  Indeed, Goodwin is dedicated to her craft.  She maintains that she has to wake up at 5am to film the third season of Big Love, working day and night to keep to her schedule.

Describing Ginnifer Goodwin was best said by Mrs. Nicola Maramotti of MaxMara.  “We will run, not walk to cinemas to see her movie.  We love the refined charm of this good Southern girl, and her timeless taste for fashion is extraordinary.”  It's no wonder Goodwin snagged the esteemed title.
