After last week's startling episode (Alby and Dale making out and JJ not having fingernails), tonight on Big Love, Bill (Bill Paxton), recent Golden Globes winner Nicki (Chloe Sevigny), and Cara Lynn set off to travel to Washington, while Margene (Ginnifer Goodwin) finds on-air triumph with her line. A come-backing Joey (Shawn Doyle), finally, goes to extremes to safeguard a secret.
On the last episode of the HBO polygamy drama, the major arc of this season was set to motion: Bill's run for the senate. As it turns out, all these attacks against polygamy had him pushed to the brink and convinced. His wives had other things in mind, especially Nicki, who thinks he should be the new prophet. Well good luck on that.
Nicki also confronted Ray as he moved out of Utah in shane, while Sarah and Heather reconciled for Sarah's impending wedding, but not before causing traffic at the drive-through. There was also a very awkward dinner, when Nicki noticed that - gasp - JJ doesn't have fingernails (can anyone explain the implications of this?). Yet already, Bill is showing signs that he has all the makings of a Roman. Although Alby is another matter entirely. Observe:

Nicki at first didn't want to attend the funeral for his daddy (her way of grieving, maybe?), but later on she still did, thanks to her guilt-tripping mother. Joey, who just got back from Arizona, said he's at peace now that Roman is dead (like duh). Then Sarah got married at the backyard in a very happy
Big Love family moment.
