Big Love is an HBO drama series, which follows a man and his three wives, three houses and three families. Set in Salt Lake City, the show intends to capture the essence of a fair depiction of polygamy in America.

The show explores the evolving institution of marriage through a typical, yet out of the ordinary family. Leading the cast of Big Love is Bill Henrickson, played by Bill Paxton, with his first and legal wife Barb, played by Jeanne Tripplehorn, his second wife Nicki, played by Chloe Sevigny, and last but not the least, his youngest wife Margene, played by Ginnifer Goodwin. The plot centers on Bill’s struggle to balance the financial and emotional needs of his three wives and seven extended children, who live in separate adjacent houses. And although there are a lot of jealousy issues involved in their extraordinary situation, they all keep their polygamous lifestyle secret from their neighbors. To complicate things, Bill faces tons of debts and demands as the owner of a budding chain of home improvement stores. The cast also includes Joel McKinnon Miller, Bruce Dern, Shawn Doyle, Melora Walters, Grace Zabriskie, Daveigh Chase, Amanda Seyfried, Douglas Smith, and Jolean Wejbe.

Season two is scheduled to air on Sunday, June 17, 2007 at 8:00 pm on HBO. Meanwhile, catch season one episodes every Saturdays at 9:00 pm. Mark V. Olsen, Will Scheffer, Tom Hanks, and Gary Goetzman are the producers of Big Love.
