Big Day is a sitcom on ABC about the major events in a couple's wedding day. The plot of the show takes place in one day, exhibiting all angles from the people involved, which is similar to
24's format.
Leading the show
Big Day are Danny (
Josh Cooke) and Alice (
Marla Sokoloff) who are about to get married. Through out the series, the couple gets caught in unfortunate incidents and obstacles while giving attention to the tiniest details from the reception, the venue, to the dress and everything that matters. With the bride's father Steve (
Kurt Fuller), bride's mother Jane (
Wendie Malick) and wedding planner Lorna (
Stephnie Weir), preparing for the wedding becomes kooky and meticulously demanding. In addition, friends like Becca (
Miriam Shor) and Skobo (
Stephen Rannazzisi) further complicates the scenario.
Big Day is produced by Josh Goldsmith and Cathy Yupsa. It airs Tuesdays at 9:00/8:00c on ABC.
