Not a lot plotting and scheming tonight on the second-to-last episode of
Big Brother 9. It was all about the competitions. All three parts of the final Head of Household competition were aired, and the
Big Brother house was trimmed down to our final two house guests. The results were not surprising. An interesting thing happened in tonight's mostly live
Big Brother –
Julie Chen had to fill more time then, I'm sure, she had anticipated. Maybe the producers thought that part three of the live Head of Household competition would last longer than it did, maybe it was just poor planning. As a result, viewers were treated to an exceptionally awkward and elongated interview between Julie and the evicted house guest that proved how inept Julie Chen is at her job. Give me Probst, give me Keoghan. Hell, give me Bergeron. I'd even take Adrianna Costa, if only for aesthetic reasons.

Water is Scary
HoH, Part 1: The kneel on a boogie board while holding onto a rope on a makeshift, elevated river challenge continues.
Sheila, cold and scared of water (as a result of a Hawaiian near drowning in her past) drops out after about 40 minutes. Then, true to his word,
Adam drops out and gives
Ryan the victory.
Wheel of Fortune
HoH, Part 2: In the second round of the final HoH competition, Sheila and Ryan each have to put together a puzzle. They have to use a large guinea pig wheel to move balls through a maze, then put the faces from the puzzle pieces on a board in the order in which they were the Head of Household. Sounds confusing, but it was mostly silly. Adam walloped Sheila, finishing in 15 minutes to Big She's 33 minutes.
Natalie, Scorned
We got more Jury House footage tonight.
Joshuah and
Matt have become friends, and everyone appears to be getting along except for Matt and Natalie. Matt has generally ignored Natalie, avoided her, and Natalie is hurt. She still likes Matt, she thinks, but she is confused.
Sharon arrives to the dismay of her former alliance members, and they all watch some video of her eviction.
Stupid Questions
HoH, Part 3: Ryan and Adam, in the final HoH, are asked questions to which they couldn't possibly know the answers to. The Jury House members make scripted statements, and Adam and Ryan have two choices as to what the jury members would say. Ryan wins pretty easily.
It's Business Time
Ryan, as the HoH, decides to evict Sheila. Sheila is a little shocked, but mostly because she was banking on Adam winning the HoH and keeping her around. Ryan and Adam: your
Big Brother final 2.
