Big Brother

The penultimate Big Brother episode of the season is upon us and our final three is an intriguing one.  Will it be Ryan and Adam together in the final two?  Will it be odd couple Adam and Sheila?  Or will it somehow be Ryan and Sheila (unlikely)?  We will see the conclusion of first Head of Household round, then parts 2 and 3, followed by an eviction.  My rooting interests are non-existent and indifference has overcome me, but that final HoH competition should be exciting nonetheless.  I'll be here throughout the episode giving live updates as the action moves along.

Julie Chen tells us that Ryan and Adam made a last-second deal before the eviction we saw yesterday.  Sharon didn't seem shocked, or maybe that's how she acts while she's shocked. 

We pick up where we left off - part 1 of the HoH.  Boogie boards. A rope. Chilly water.  You remember it.  Sheila hates water, because she almost "drownded" in Hawaii once.  You know how those crazy Hawaiian Penthouse parties can go. 

Ryan gives his rationale for not using the vet - there's no blood on his hands.  I suppose that makes sense.  We see Ryan and Adam one hour before eviction. Adam's point is solid - he wanted Sharon gone because she's a mental threat and has almost won a bunch of HoH's.  Adam makes this deal - since Sheila will be flustered when she finds out she's still in the house, she'll be bad at part 1 of the HoH, drop out, and then Adam will give part 1 to Ryan. We'll see if that actually worked out. 

Back to the HoH - Part 1.  Ryan and Adam taunt Sheila slightly.  It's lame taunting.  But Big She gives it a fight.  About 40 minutes in, though, Sheila drops.  And, then, true to his word, Adam drops and gives Ryan Part 1.

Time for Part 2 of the Head of Household competition.  Adam and Sheila compete seperately.  Adam is out first.  They have to run in a giant guinea pig maze that's attached to a Marble Madness-like puzzle.  They have to get ten balls out of the maze, all of which have the different HoH's of the season.  After they get all the balls, they have to put the faces of the HoH's in order on a big board.  Simple enough.

Sheila finishes in 33 minutes, Adam in 15 minutes.  It's going to be Adam versus Ryan in the final part of the HoH competition.

Jury house time.  Joshuah and Matt are pals, and Matt has completely avoided Natalie.  Natalie seems to have lost her love of Matt.  Maybe - it's all pretty stilted and contrived with the cameras in their faces.  Sharon arrives, and Josh and Chelisia and James are disappointed. 

OK, it is time for the Final Part of the HoH competition.  Julie asks Adam and Ryan questions about the jury members.  She reads statements they've made in the jury house, and Adam and Ryan have to answer who said what.

Ryan wins.  We'll see who he evicts after the break.

Sheila and Adam plead their cases to Ryan.  Adam tries to cry, doesn't.  Sheila cries her eyes out. 

Ryan evicts Sheila from the house - she is devastated and cries some more.  Adam is in a celebratory mood. 

In the exit interview with Julie, Sheila is in full-on "woe is me" mode.  Julie twists the knife too.  There's lots of talk about Sheila's son.  The interview just goes to show you that Julie Chen is not very good at her job.
