"United we stand, and divided we fall" is the game-play strategy for the first season of Big Brother: Over the Top. Once again, Morgan, a.k.a. "Bikini Girl," and Shelby, a.k.a. "Baby Wrists," thought members of the Late Night Jamboree, Kryssie and Justin, could be trusted. When will these girls learn? Kryssie and Justin "promised" to make a final-four deal by getting rid of their ride-or-die Jason, but nobody wants to throw J-Roy under the bus. So, the short-lived Jambalaya Gang is spoiled and reeks of broken promises.
Jelby is definitely over, and the Power of Veto competition will pit Shelby and Jason against each other to see who stays, and who goes. If these two tiny terrors can't pull it out themselves, their best shot of survival is in the hands of their trusted allies. Jason has promised to reign down hellfire on the Ball Smashers, a.k.a. "Longshots," if he doesn't win which means calling the girls "trash bags" to their faces as opposed to behind their backs.
Just prior to the Power of Veto competition, Justin, and nominees Jason and Kryssie, snored contentedly away in the Tokyo Room where they had remained camped out for the entire weekend. Shelby and Morgan threw on some war paint and quizzed each other on assorted Big Brother facts and figures.
This PoV was another individual competition which definitely dulls some of the momentum the houseguests felt going in because these comps can drag on for HOURS, and each person is sequestered into a separate room of the house.
The Big Brother backyard was converted into a giant maze because the path to victory in the Big Brother game is full of twists and turns, you dig? The goal was pretty simple: rush through the maze, grabbing three ears of corn along the way. Once a player had all three, they raced to the exit. They had to be holding all three ears when they hit the button in order for the clock to stop. The fastest time won. Did I mention that the houseguests had to crawl? Also, no exiting through the entrance and no exiting without all three ears of corn. Either of these offenses would lead to being disqualified.
Anyone else get the feeling that Big Brother is just phoning it in at this point? The most interesting thing about this comp was the cacophony of burps being emitted from Kryssie as she waited for her turn. That and Morgan's flip out and insistence that she'd been everywhere, and there was most definitely not three ears of corn inside the maze.
The final times were as follows:
Justin -- 1:56
Shelby -- 4:24
Morgan -- 11:00
Kryssie -- 2:05
Jason -- 1:30
Jason wins the Power of Veto!
Will Justin turn on his alliance come eviction night? Does Shelby have any shot at saving herself? Let us know what you think in the comments section below.
