This is CBS's worst fear come to fruition. Well, maybe that's an overstatement. I get the feeling that CBS doesn't view
Big Brother all that highly. If CBS head honcho Les Moonves wasn't married to host
Julie Chen,
Big Brother may have been canceled seasons ago. But, anyway, this is Allison Grodner's worst nightmare: a completely and depressingly predictable week of
Big Brother. Anyone who has been watching the series over the past couple of weeks knows exactly what will happen in the next few episodes. One of two people will be evicted – the only exciting moment of the entire week will be the Power of Veto competition. Everything before and after that will be devastatingly anti-climactic.

James has avoided eviction (well, he actually did get evicted once, but whatever) with his incredible ability to win Power of Veto competitions over the last couple of weeks. Unfortunately for him, he will Public Enemy #1 again, and will certainly be nominated on Sunday's show, along with the other, less intimidating outcast
Sharon.
Those two will be on the block.
Adam, as the Head of Household, could try and forge new alliances with James and Sharon and shake things up, but I don't see him doing such a thing. We saw it last time Adam was HoH – he doesn't want to rock the boat and create new enemies. This means that the status quo will prevail. The house will want James out instead of Sharon, but at this point they are basically the same person. The only difference is that Sharon gets along with more people and is less likely to win challenges.
Then, it comes down to the PoV. The only way James can live to see another week in the house is to win veto power. He's done it before, and he could do it again. If he wins, then Sharon is gone. If not, he's gone. It's a foregone conclusion.
This is what us
Big Brother fans have to hope for: James has to win the veto, and has to follow that up with a Head of Household victory next Wednesday. If that happens, at least next week will be exciting. We can also hope that Sharon somehow wins HoH, but that's less likely. If neither wins HoH, next week is going to be as boring as this week will be. Alas, at least we have the promise of house intrigue two weeks from now. Until then, we'll just have to grind it out.
Who would you rather see evicted?
