Big Brother 9 is nearing the end, and nothing is close to certain. That's obviously going to be the case when four (and then three) house guests are vying against each other for five hundred grand, but the uncertainty is more accentuated this season. With the four house guests that we started tonight's
Big Brother episode with, the allegiances were difficult to decipher. Everyone is intertwined, all having highly specific relationships with each other. Trust is obviously a big factor in
Big Brother, but the players also have to look forward to that final vote. Tonight was whirlwind of events in the
Big Brother house, including the Power of Veto competition, the PoV ceremony, the eviction and the beginning of round 1 of the final Head of Household competition.
Uncertainty Abounds
Prior to the Power of Veto competition, everyone is paranoid.
Ryan doesn't know if he can trust anybody. He thinks he can trust
Sharon, but maybe that's not the best idea for his future.
Adam has tested Ryan's trust all the time. And
Sheila, well, he thinks that Sheila and Adam might be too tight and take each other to the final vote. Adam tries to make a deal with Sharon, Sharon tells Ryan, Ryan confronts Adam, and Adam denies that any such deal was offered. Paranoia everywhere.
A Day at the Races
The Power of Veto competition is another in the long line of memory challenges. Each player is in their own quadrant, and has to complete five “horses” by placing the head of a jury house member and two facts about that jury house member below. First person to complete all five in order wins Power of Veto. Ryan smashed everyone, winning in a landslide.
Deals Made, Broken
For awhile, it looked like Ryan would stick with secret alliance member Sharon. But, Adam is his boy. I guess. It was kind of confusing, as Adam and Sheila appeared to clearly be taking each other to the final two together. But, Ryan decided to throw Sharon under the bus and not use the Power of Veto, keeping Sharon and Sheila on the block.
A Surprise (Maybe) Eviction
In a surprising move (at least to Sharon and Sheila), Adam votes to evict Sharon. And, just like that, she's gone.
