For the second week in a row on Big Brother 16
the Detonators are in charge. That should mean a quiet, boring week.
But that fails to take one thing into account: Zach Rance. He might be
one of the craziest people to ever play the game, and the result is
chaos in the house.SPOILER WARNING: This article contains Big Brother 16 spoilers.
HoH Frankie nominated Jocasta and Victoria.
HoH Zach nominated Christine and Nicole.
Once again two men nominated four women, but this time it's quite a bit different. Not only is Christine finally nominated for the first time, but one of her fellow Detonators put her up. Frankie, however, just nominated two people he's put up before, and has now nominated six women with his three HoHs.
There are multiple ways this could play out. Both HoHs seem to want to stay the permanent HoH after the Battle of the Block, with alleged plans to backdoor either Amber or Caleb (it switches every hour). But Zach and Christine have basically gone to war and she is eager for Frankie to stay HoH and backdoor Zach! Frankie has heavily implied that he's open to such an idea, but there's an equally good chance that he's playing her and will choose Zach in the end.See Who Won the Battle of the Block>>
Also, it seems the Team America mission may have succeeded as they decided to pick Zach and Christine to fight. Zach's nomination speech, as rehearsed, called Christine a floater on par with Jenn City from season 14, doing absolutely nothing in the house and never getting called to the diary room. Frankie definitely seemed to work quite hard pumping up Zach and Christine's hatred for each other, though most of it was already there. How This Happened
It was definitely an interesting night in the house. Zach went mad with power and was running around with about a thousand different ideas. At various points, he suggested Amber, Christine, Nicole, Victoria, Jocasta, Caleb, Hayden and Donny as potential nominees.
The real fireworks started when he wanted Christine to throw the Battle of the Block competition so Zach could stay HoH. She refused, and Zach got really angry because Christine hasn't done anything. She hasn't won any competitions, nor has she ever been nominated. He vented to Frankie, Derrick and Cody about how Christine brings absolutely nothing to the Detonators and they're just carrying her along.
Zach also wanted to put up Amber because he heard she was coming after him (from Christine, who memorably ratted out Amber's desire for a new all-female alliance to the Detonators last week). Zach talked to Caleb and asked him to find out if Amber is coming after him. Caleb then talked to Amber about how Zach has heard that she's coming after him. She, of course, denied it, but confronted Zach and he suggested that some people in the Bomb Squad told this to him.
Amber got freaked out and started to suspect that Hayden, Frankie, Nicole and Christine could not be trusted. Still, she talked to Christine about it, and Christine immediately recognized that Zach must've used her information to sabotage her, thus making her angry at Zach for blowing up her game. Which he absolutely is doing.
The Zach vs. Christine war escalated and Zach ranted all night about how useless she is and Christine talked to everyone she could about how he's ruining their games and is erratic and can't keep his mouth shut. It got even more interesting when Zach and Nicole were alone in the HoH room. He was vague and cryptic about wanting to tell Nicole certain things that she probably doesn't know, asking if she thinks she can really trust Christine.
Nicole reported the conversation back to Christine, and asked if there was something to it. Ever since Christine told Nicole about the Bomb Squad, Nicole has trusted her, but remained understandably cautious. Basically, Zach's vague comments pointed her in the right direction, that Christine is still working with a part of the Bomb Squad even though she says it's dead. Christine did NOT tell Nicole about the Detonators, however.
Thank you, Zach, for creating drama this week. Christine has tried to play the Andy Herren game, flying under the radar for the first few weeks, doing absolutely nothing. But Zach called her out and blew up her game, forcing her to play. Even if it gets Zach evicted, I applaud him for making these people work hard for the money.FUN FACTS
