Big Brother 10 will premiere on Sunday, July 13 at 8pm. The series will keep the same weekly broadcast schedule, with episodes every Sunday (at 8pm), Tuesday (at 9pm) and Wednesday (at 8pm). Casting is underway as we speak for the tenth edition of the reality series, and CBS promises all new twists and turns for the upcoming season.
Big Brother 9, which is currently winding down its season, was rushed into production in wake of the writers' strike.
Big Brother 10 will be the first season of the series to premiere so soon after the completion of a previous season. CBS is betting that
Big Brother fatigue won't hit the fan base. In addition to the
Big Brother 10 premiere date, CBS announced a whole slate of new summer programming.
The three major summer reality series CBS announced are
Greatest American Dog, Million Dollar Password, and Jingles.
Greatest American Dog:
Really, CBS? The show is exactly what it sounds like: teams of dogs and their owners will live in a house and compete in various training exercises in order to find out which dog is the
Greatest American Dog. The winning team will take home $250,000. CBS hasn't announced whether the dog and owner will split the money, or if the greedy owner will pocket the whole thing. The series premieres on Thursday, July 10 at 9pm.
Million Dollar Password:
An updated version of the old game show Password,
Million Dollar Password finds normal people teaming up with celebrities. One member of each team is given a password and have to help the other team member guess it by giving them one word clues. Announced celebrities include Betty White, Rosie O'Donnell (boo), Rachel Ray, Monique Coleman and Neil Patrick Harris (yay!).
Million Dollar Password premieres Sunday, June 1 at 8pm. I'll probably watch it.
Jingles:
Mark Burnett is running out of ideas. His latest reality show sees contestants write and perform musical jingles for various consumer products. Judges will do some judging, but America will also vote. The madness begins on Sunday, July 27 at 9pm.
Which new reality series are you most looking forward to?
