Better Off Ted remains in the "bubble," so to speak, and as its season (or series) finale airs tonight, there are still six unaired episodes which have been filmed should ABC decide to renew the quirky rookie comedy.  Tonight on "Get Happy," Veridian Dynamics big boss Veronica (Portia de Rossi) works on improving company morale.  She also plans to reinvent herself as someone more likeable.  All these, after a survey reveals that the staff is miserable.  As for Ted (Jay Harrington), he tries to win over an older demographic.

On the last episode of Better Off Ted, Ted was inadvertently deleted from Verdian's system when he tried to fix his employee ID, and, as the lab fell into chaos, his peers tried to remedy the situation to the best of their meager abilities.

Better Off Ted didn't exactly hit ratings gold for its first six episodes, as they average a little over 4.5 million viewers per episode, down from the 5.64 million wh ich tuned in on the series premiere.  Along with Scrubs, however, rumors are rife that Better Off Ted just might get renewed because of the critical acclaim that it has received.

Not that it needed any of it, this finale was supposed to air last week, but a news conference courtesy of a guy named Barack Obama preempted it and was forced to air it this week instead.  In response to having to give up its airtime, Better Off Ted creator Victor Fresco crafted and released a faux commercial from the show's Veridian Dynamics about presidents and talking about stuff that are "too complicated anyway" - ending with "When presidents talk, Americans get hurt."

Catch the finale of Better Off Ted tonight 8:30pm on ABC.
