Being Human: Previewing the Season Finale
Being Human: Previewing the Season Finale
Perhaps unfortunately for us who are used to seeing 20 or so episodes of our favorite shows in a season, British people only do, say, six each.  The original The Office only has 13 episodes split into two seasons, if I remember correctly.  Mr. Bean only had 14 across years.  And, after five episodes, Being Human is wrapping up its season tonight.  Yep, it's just the sixth episode.

But there are a couple of silver linings here.  One, there's a second season currently being shot across the pond.  And two, it's been a pretty fun ride: Mitchell and George and Annie dealing with what they've become, settling into the world they used to be part of--for the most part, anyway--and, well, being human again.  Last week was when almost everything caught up with them, though.  Annie's finally figured out why she's a ghost in the first place, and Mitchell's given up, returning to the vampires.  And then he gets staked, and she ditches her one chance to go where ghosts like her go after they die.

On the season finale of Being Human, airing tonight from 9pm on BBC America, Annie finds herself in a pickle--now her ties to the human world are off, how can she help Mitchell retaliate against Herricks?  Then again, Mitchell wants to do it alone, not very willing to drag his friends into that inevitable showdown.

And nope, I'm not forgetting George, he who's settling in with Nina and, perhaps, found himself a chance to become a little bit more ordinary, apart from the monthly whatevers he always calls as "that thing".  He knows Mitchell's in a pickle too, but the question's a pretty crucial one: should he try to help him, or should he take off and start a new life?  I guess being beyond human comes with a price, too.

The season finale of Being Human airs tonight from 9pm on BBC America.  And yes, a season season's coming.  Don't worry.
