Do kids today even know who Beavis and Butt-head are? In the 1990s, the
animated morons on MTV who watched music videos and got into absurdly
violent and disturbing situations were the funniest thing around, and
after nearly 15 years, they're making a comeback.
Beavis and Butt-head will return to MTV in October with new episodes, but it's still the same old show. At Comic-Con, MTV previewed about five minutes of new footage, and it looks like the same, hilarious show. In this episode, Beavis gets a screw through his hand, goes to the ER and, when he takes on his infamous Great Cornholio persona, he is mistaken for the new messiah.
But the best part is that instead of watching music videos and making fun of them, Beavis and Butt-head watch
Jersey Shore. The small segment where the two rip Snooki apart is easily one of the funniest things I've seen in a long time. If this is what we can expect from the show (mocking
16 and Pregnant,
My Super Sweet 16 and more), I'm sold.
