Twenty-six year-old Sam Horrigan is a party promoter featured as the hot guy among the geeks in the fourth season of Beauty and the Geek. From Davis, California, Sam likes girls, working out and doing a thousand crunches a day, pool parties and barbecues. He sees himself as a club owner in five years. Living in Hollywood, Sam has had roles in various films and TV shows, such as Grace Under Fire, Brink!, Little Giants, and more.
Sam was partnered with musicology grad student,
Nicole . Perhaps one of the strongest contenders in the fourth season, Sam won five out of eight challenges. He won the debating challenge, arguing in favor of lowering the legal drinking age. He won the rocket building challenge. He and Nicole won the team superhero challenge, in which they created Metro-Man, a superhero alter-ego for Sam who received his superpowers when he stumbled upon a bottle of George Hamilton's spray tan. Sam also won the Mayan glyph memorization challenge when the teams went down to Mexico. Finally, Sam won the zoology/insect challenge in the episode "Raising the Bar," in which he had to carry creepy-crawlies across a cave and identify their Latin names.
Sam had a romantic relationship with fellow beauty
Rebecca Nichols , before she and her partner Will were eliminated in the episode "It's Not Rocket Science."
Sam and Nicole entered the final two with
Jasmine and
Dave , but after a vote by viewers at home, Jasmine and Dave were declared winners and Sam and Nicole were named runners-up of Beauty and the Geek season 5.
