Previously on
Beauty and the Geek, nine beauties and nine geeks met for the first time. They found out that they would be competing against each other, and the beauties immediately set about strategizing. Tensions rose between
Randi and
Amber, and their big, colossal fight sent
Jim running to go get some popcorn. In the new elimination room, John E. wasn't quick enough with the buzzer, and he became the first person to be ejected from season 5 of
Beauty and the Geek.
Tonight's episode of
Beauty and the Geek begins immediately post-elimination. Everyone cheers for the returning geeks. Amber is happy to see
Tommy back. She's a little gold-digger in the making—she likes Tom because he's good-looking (and not a real geek, I still maintain) and he'll be rich someday.
Cara is happy to see
Chris and his rhinestone-encrusted pink hat.
Tara isn't too keen to see
Jonathan bad because she thinks he's an odd duck.

Host
Mike Richards assembles everyone in the library to tell everyone their next challenge, which will be a beauties versus geeks talent show.
Jillian is upfront about the fact that she has no talent, but
Leticia shows off that she can bark like a dog. Each team will have to create a ten-minute talent revue. The winning team will have the power to send half of the losing team to the elimination. The geeks, especially
Jason, think that they have an edge on the beauties this week because they have more talent than the women.
In the geeks' camp, Chris takes the lead in organizing their act, which will be a big group rap that will showcase each of their individual talents.
The beauties have a hard time deciding on their talent. They recognizing that they have relied on their looks for so long that they have allowed their other talents to languish. Their planning session runs late into the night. Finally, the girls get so fed up that they grab some booze and distract the boys with a game of spin the bottle.
Matt the Poet delivers the most supremely awkward kiss.
After the game, Amber gets her flirt on with Tommy. She prances around in the teeny-tiniest bikini, and basically, does everything she can to play with his heart to ensure that she won't be sent to elimination.
The next day, the two teams file into a grand auditorium for their talent show. The beauties are all dressed up in flouncy plaid skirts, black camis and ties. They are still frantically trying to get their choreography together. Randi takes charge of the girls and delivers the most incomprehensible description of their choreo. Meanwhile, the geeks are hanging out confidently in their own dressing room.
The show starts and the beauties act is first. It's vaguely reminiscent of Britney Spears' "Baby One More Time" video, except without the singing or the music or, frankly, without the dancing. They end up sort of ad libbing dance moves, such as the robot and the sprinkler. You know you're in trouble if you have to resort to the robot. Unfortunately, they are all but done with a full three minutes left. The crowd boos them off the stage and starts chanting, "We want geeks!"
The geeks go next. Matt begins by unfurling a comically long scroll and reciting a poem. Then, Jason takes off his shirt, and dude is really jacked! The rest of the geeks come out and they each do their own talent. Jonathan does an uncanny impression of a velociraptor that he thinks scores well with the girls, but the beauties are all freaked out by it. Tom does a quick standup routine that is actually pretty funny.
Joe does a rap, but I wasn't aware that cowboys rapped.
The audience votes for their favorite act, and the geeks win!
Tiffany confessionals that maybe the geeks have more talent than the beauties because they just sit at home and work on their talents. She explains that she doesn't have talent because she actually has a social life.
Back at the ranch, some of girls get studying in preparation for the elimination, but Leticia and Tiffany decide to blow off their books and go hang out in the hot tub. At first, it's only Joe in the hot tub, but the rest of the geeks show up in the blink of an eye.
The other girls think that the Leticia and Tiffany are just sucking up to the geeks. Amber thinks that Leticia is being slutty with Jonathan. Pot calling the kettle black? The geeks, however, drink in all the female attention. Jim now sports a ponytail because Tiffany thinks he might look good with one.
The geeks meet the next morning to choose which five beauties to send to the elimination room. It's all very bureaucratic with ten motions passed before they can even continue discussing the individual beauties. Chris wants to keep the girls who don't contribute drama, but Tommy wants to keep Amber.
It's time for the staircase ceremony. Chris speaks on behalf of Team Geek. He first chooses Amber, who immediately starts whining about being picked. Next are
Amanda, Randi,
Kristina and Jillian. Amber bitches that the geeks made the wrong decision and that Leticia should have been on the chopping block too. Joe gets in her grill, and after the staircase ceremony, the two have a tense standoff.
In the elimination room, the beauties must answer questions about the performing arts. The last person to answer a question correctly will be out. Amanda correctly knows that Chicago is in Illinois. Kristina knows the title to Shakespeare's
A Midsummer Night's Dream. Jillian knows that 100 out of 1000 is ten percent. Now it's down to Amber and Randi. When they get their question, Randi buzzes in with the correct answer a split-second before Amber. Therefore, Amber loses and must go home. She whines that she buzzed in. In her final interview footage, Amber prattles on and on about how beautiful she is.
Which geek had the best talent?
