Previously on
Beauty and the Geek, the geeks dominated the beauties in the first ever
Beauty and the Geek talent show. When faced with their first elimination, some of the beauties chose to flirt instead of study.
Amber failed to answer any questions in the elimination, so she was sent home. Tonight, the social experiment will continue to evolve.
Tonight's
Beauty and the Geek begins immediately after last week's elimination.
Tommy hopes that Amber is coming back. Each of the other girls walks into the room, one-by-one, and poor Tommy has a stricken look on his face because Amber is not among them. Not to be deterred, Tommy insists that as soon as the show is over, he's going to continue his budding relationship with Amber because, by golly, he wants to date a supermodel, gosh darnit!
It's time to find out this week's challenge.
Mike Richards says that for this week, each team must select one of their own to send to the other team. The girls decide that they should send over a weaker member of their team, and
Jillian volunteers. The geeks choose
Chris to join the other team, against
Jason's wishes. Jason thinks that Chris would be too much of an asset to the girls.
The twist is that if the geeks lose, Jillian will automatically be eliminated and the rest of the geeks minus Chris will be up for elimination. If the beauties lose, Chris will automatically be cut from the show and the rest of the beauties minus Jillian will be up for elimination.
The challenge this week involves sports in some way, so everyone goes outside to play with the sports equipment, and it is hye-larious!
Jim has trouble negotiating a boxing speed bag. He's more at home with "pure" games like chess Rubik's Cube or Quake, you see. A lot of the girls, like
Leticia,
Randi and
Tiffany, are very sporty and are right at home with badminton birdies and footballs, but some, like
Tara are worried about getting dirty and wearing mismatched outfits. This is going to be a good challenge, whatever it is.
The teams are shepherded over to the legendary Los Angeles Coliseum. Team Beauty is dressed in pink, and Team Geek is dressed in blue. They will be playing flag football in the first ever
Beauty and the Geek bowl. Not everybody is happy about this, but
Joe the cowboy is super excited. He goes into a detailed strategizing session that is mostly a vocabulary lesson, and then takes everyone through some drills. On the beauties' side, Chris beautified with some lip gloss, takes control of Team Beauty's practice session.
The game starts, and
Jonathan makes like a ten-yard kickoff. Randi and Tiffany are awesomely intimidating. Tommy completely bowls over Chris, who is running the ball, and that play is instant-replayed like twenty times. Not to be stopped, Chris realizes that the geeks' defense is Swiss cheese, and succeeds in making the first touchdown. Next play,
Greg makes the catch and walks it in. Go Greggie! Wait, they're not showing us the whole game, because the next play, the geeks are on offense again. Joe calls a really confusing play that doesn't materialize, and he gets really frustrated. They fumble the ball and the beauties recover. Oh, this is where it gets good. Joe blocks Randi very physically and nearly knocks her over. She gets all up in his grill. Seriously, you do not want to cross her.
The second half begins, and the geeks receive the kickoff. Jim runs the ball, but then throws the ball away. Jonathan blocks Tara by grabbing her boobs, which is totally not cool, yo. I apologize that I am not providing more details here, but there's so much going on and my eyes are pretty much glued to the screen.
Team Beauty is up 18-6. It's down to the wire, when
Matt takes a big fall and doesn't get up. He insists that he's okay, but he's escorted off the field by the medic. This is a really physical game of flag football.
There's 2:45 left in the fourth quarter, and the geeks decide to continue with their passing game. Joe passes to Tommy who sprints into the endzone. They're still in the game, and their spirits are up. Unfortunately, Chris answers back with a kickoff return for a touchdown. So, the beauties win, 24-12. Yay! I'm so glad the beauties win. I'm really proud that they brought it together for the win. Unfortunately, it means that Jillian must immediately go home.
Back at home, Leticia waits up to welcome Matt home from the hospital. She runs to the door, tears in her eyes, and finds that he broke his shoulder and has to wear a brace for about a month. He really took one for the team. That's dedication, man.
The beauties must now decide which five geeks to put up for elimination.
Kristina wants to send Joe because she didn't like the poor sport side of him that she saw of him at the game.
Cara was creeped out by Jonathan (understandably, because he was the boob-grabber), so she wants Jonathan to be sent to elimination.
Everyone assembles at the staircase. Mike tells everyone that
Beauty and the Geek is changing again. Tonight marks the end of the beauties versus geeks format of the show. Now, they will be pairing up in the traditional beauty-geek pairs. Since the beauties won the football game, they will get to choose which geek they want as their partner, but with Jillian out, there will be one geek left over who must go home.
The girls get together to discuss which geek they want. Randi wants Greggie, which makes Cara sad. She wants Greg, but isn't quite strong enough to stand up to Randi. I'm really impressed that the girls really took the time to consider all of their options carefully and thoughtfully.
Back on the staircase, Cara gets to choose first. She picks Chris, and they go up the stairs.
Amanda picks Tommy. Leticia picks Matt. Randi picks Greg. Kristina picks Jason. Tiffany picks Jim. (Ooh! These were both of my picks for #1.) Apparently, though, she was planning on choosing Jonathan, but then changed her mind at the last second. The only beauty left to go is Tara, and she must choose between Jonathan and Joe. But ahhh! We won't find out whom she picks until next week! This is too suspenseful, I can't take it.
Who was the scariest football player in the game?
