Joshua GreenPreviously on Beauty and the Geek, Sam and Rebecca's steamy romance disrupted the dynamic of the house. Will and Rebecca's team began dominating in the challenges, and Will lords his newfound power over the rest of the house. Eight teams remain.

Immediately after last week's elimination, Erin and Jesse go upstairs to join the group. They survived and they are back with a vengeance. Erin vows to send Will to elimination if she can help it.

Your Take

Guest said: Rebecca didnt deserve to be on the show. I never saw her study all she was doing was having sex w/ the man...

That night Sam invites Rebecca to his room to sleep and, uh, do other stuff in his top bunk, which is most unfortunate for Nicole who is asleep in the bottom bunk. She wakes up in the middle of their makeout session and, after realizing what that smacking noise is, she gets up and leaves the room. I guess it didn't occur to either Sam or Rebecca that this might not actually be the nicest thing to do to Nicole. Nicole tearfully tells the confessional cam that she had asked Sam to let her know if he wanted to sexile her, but I guess he forgot. Nicole really doesn't want to go home now because she doesn't want this to be the last impression people have of her.

Mike Richards assembles all the beauties and geeks to tell them about this week's challenge. Jesse is wearing safety glasses and Erin is wearing a rubber band around her wrist as tributes to Hollie and Josh, who were sent home last week. Josh was the William Tell of rubber bands, and they all had a three-hour-long, ginormous rubber band war around the house that did not make it to air. This is why I love this show—all the competitors really are so sweet and care about each other. But, I digress. Mike tells them that America voted for their favorite Beauty and the Geek challenges on The CW's website, and whatever America voted for is what they will be doing.

The top three favorite beauty challenges were Rocket Science, Computer Science and Social Science (in which the beauties must attract the opposite sex without the aid of the looks). The top three geek challenges are Massage By Geek, Fashion By Geek and Body By Geek (in which the geeks must design and lead an exercise session). They won't know which of the challenges is the favorite until the very last minute, so they must study all the possible topics.

Jasmine coaches Dave in the fine art of ladies' lingerie, leading to Dave saying perhaps my favorite quote of the entire episode: “Boy shorts are superior to thong and regular.” Shay teaches Joshua how to squeeze his butt cheeks together, but he doesn't really know if he's doing it or not.

Nicole avoids Sam while studying. Will hopes that the geeks will get the massage challenge because Rebecca is in school for massage therapy. I don't really see how this helps him, though. Luke and Nicole plot to dethrone Will, whom they dub the king of geeks. It is time for the peasants to revolt.

The geeks have their challenge first. They go outside to find massage tables lined up. Naturally, Will is excited, but Sam is creeped out at the thought of having to be pawed by all these dudes. The beauties disrobe, revealing skimpy bikinis (Bermuda shorts, in Sam's case), and they all don blindfolds and earphones so that they won't be able to tell who is massaging them. The beauties will rate each massage they receive, and all the geeks' scores will be tallied to find the winner of the challenge.

Dave thinks his “typewriter fingers” are awesome, but nobody's really into it. William scratches. Sam thought Nicole's hands were like a wet fish. Joshua does surprisingly well.

The results are in and it is incredibly close. Three geeks have tied for second place, each earning a score a single point below the winner's. Will, John and Joshua are in second place, and Jesse is named the winner. Will is terribly disappointed because he thought he had this one in the bag, and Shay is so proud of Joshua for even being in the running.

Jesse describes his win and Will's loss as poetic justice and karma. He also hopes to use his newfound massage skills on a girlfriend someday.

Will and Rebecca are worried, and they should be, because Erin and Jesse are gunning for them now. Jesse is really nice, though, and tells Will and Rebecca that if he sends them to elimination, it's only because they are a really strong team. Rebecca starts crying and pretty much doesn't stop for the rest of the episode because she knows that Jesse and Erin are going to pick them.

Will goes over to talk to Erin after the challenge. She tells him that she was hurt and upset that he didn't take the time talk to her team more, and he says “I'm sorry that you're upset.” Which really isn't an apology. It's like saying “I'm sorry if I've offended you,” instead of “I'm sorry for what I've done.” The words that he chooses and the demeanor with which he says those words are very formal and stiff. Very polite, but almost too polite. I'm sure he's sincere, but he's not very good at being approachable and believable in his apology.

Not everyone is happy to see Will go home, though. Dave tells the confessional cam that Will is his closest friend in the Beauty and the Geek house, and he wants anyone but Will to go home. They engage in some LARPing action with some light sword-fighting. Their swords look like their made of PVC pipe or something. The Society of Creative Anachronism would SO not approve!

Now it's time for the beauties' challenge. They walk out to a grassy knoll, in step with the majestic synthesizer riffs of Europe's “The Final Countdown.” They discover that their challenge is Rocket Science: they must build and a launch a model rocket. The first beauty whose rocket flies above a safety wire wins.

Jasmine has a hard time. Jen is looking good, but Rebecca is right on her tail. Shay is doing well too. Sam thinks this challenge is a piece of cake. He's the first to attempt to launch, but the fuel prematurely ejaculates in his hands. Ha! That may be my second favorite moment episode. It looks like the challenge is over for him, but he realizes that the other beauties aren't even close to done. He hurriedly rebuilds the rocket, launching it perfectly this time, and wins the challenge.

Everybody assembles on the staircase for the elimination ceremony. Dave is in his formal LARP dress again. I love Dave!

Erin and Jesse pick Will and Rebecca to go to elimination because they are a very strong team. Rebecca says she's not at all surprised because she thinks their choice is obviously about revenge, but Erin and Jesse deny it.

Sam and Nicole choose William and Jen. He doesn't really have a reason for it because there wasn't a clear team for him to pick, but Nicole tells the confessional cam later that she suggested William and Jen because she knows them to be a strong team. She really wants Rebecca gone.

The beauties have their elimination round first. Jen knows that the Glenn Research center at NASA is named in honor of John Glenn. Rebecca thinks that there was a ship called Apollo on Star Trek. Jen doesn't know that the moon isn't a planet. Rebecca thinks that the evil computer in 2001: A Space Odyssey is called Gates.

At this point, Jen and William are leading Rebecca and Will, 1-0.

Now it's the battle of the Williams. William knows without hesitation that shiatsu is Japanese for finger pressure. Will has to get the next question right, or his team goes home. Unfortunately, he doesn't know that the Cherokee and Navajo tribes are the ones who rub their warriors before battles, so he and Rebecca lose the elimination round.

Rebecca and Will are now the third team to be eliminated on Beauty and the Geek.

What would you do if you woke up to find your roommate hooking up with someone in the top bunk?
Join them!
Storm out of the room in a huff.
Kick the top bunk.
Make witty commentary on the action in real time.
Sneak out, let all the air out of his/her tires.
Point and laugh.
