Tonight's episode of
Beauty and the Geek was supposed to be just a reunion show. But because of the twist that host
Mike Richards revealed last week--that the winners would be chosen by America's votes--tonight's reunion show was also the big reveal in which we found out who has proven to be more than a beauty and more than a geek.
The votes have been tallied, and the winners of season 4 of
Beauty and the Geek are
Jasmine and
Dave, now a quarter of a million dollars richer.

Naturally, we didn't find out that Jasmine and Dave beat out Sam and Nicole until the very waning moments of the show. There was a whole hour's worth of antics and catching up that we had to watch before then. I don't know if it's just because I'm so emotionally invested in this show, but none of it really felt like filler to me. It was an enjoyable hour all around.
All the eliminated teams were back tonight. They all look more or less the same, as most geeks have kept up with their appearances after their makeovers. However, there were a few changes that happened in the four months since they taped
Beauty and the Geek. Rebecca now has dark hair (she had told me in
her interview that she got rid of her blonde extensions), and Josh, the rubberband geek, has managed to get even cuter.
Will apologized to everyone for behaving like such an ass, and promised that he had no idea that he came across that way. Rebecca and Sam, who famously hooked up in the top bunk while Nicole was sleeping in the bottom bunk, had their first reunion since she and Will were eliminated. They shared a kiss onstage, and probably went immediately to the closest cheap hotel after the show.
Some other highlights include Jasmine's reunion with the tarantula from the zoology challenge. Mike Richards made her overcome her fear by touching the tarantula, which Jasmine eventually managed to do, poor girl. Josh took off his shirt to present to the world how smooth his torso is now, and got a back massage from Rebecca for his troubles.
Joshua and
Shay were spotlighted as one of the favorite teams of all this season, and Joshua's mother Marla surprised everyone with a visit. She looks exactly like how you would imagine Joshua's mother would look, and her visit was by far the highlight of the whole show.
