If a picture is worth a thousand words, then the following three posters
are worth an entire review. The CW has released promo posters for its
three new dramas this fall, and each perfectly represents the shows
they're promoting.
First there's
Arrow, the dark and gritty superhero drama starring Stephen Amell (and his abs). This poster reminds me of one of my favorite
Buffy the Vampire Slayer quotes, when Buffy was pretending to be the Buffybot tending to Spike after Glory beat him up in season 5: "You're covered in sexy wounds."

Second is
Beauty and the Beast, a show where the word "beast" has been redefined to mean an Abercrombie and Fitch model with yellow eyes and a scar on his cheek. Sorry fans, but when the beast is prettier than the beauty, there's a fundamental flaw in the design.

Finally there's
Emily Owens, M.D., the whimsical medical dramedy starring Mamie Gummer. The poster feels like something
Scrubs would've done, which is the right spirit and tone for this light-hearted doctor show (imagine if Meredith on
Grey's Anatomy was actually Ally McBeal).

So which of these new shows are you most excited to see?
Arrow premieres Wednesday, October 10 at 8pm,
Beauty and the Beast premieres Thursday, October 11 at 9pm and
Emily Owens premieres Tuesday, October 16 at 9pm, all on the CW.
