The CW has announced its 2014 mid-season schedule, with some shows being moved to different nights to make way for new dramas, most notably on Mondays, a night that hasn't seen the strongest ratings.
Beauty and the Beast
Not all titles featured on BuddyTV are available through Amazon Prime.
was originally scheduled to return on January 13, but will now be taking a longer hiatus until its new mid-season premiere on February 17, where it will be paired with the new series Star-Crossed
. But for fans of Beauty
, that unfortunately won't be the only hiatus. It will only air new episodes for a month before taking a break after the March 10 episode. At this point, The CW is not announcing when it will return for the final six episodes of the season.
And what's taking Beauty and the Beast's place on Mondays at 9pm? None other than The Tomorrow People, which is leaving Wednesdays and moving to Mondays starting on March 17. The reason for this decision is the network is hoping that pairing two sci-fi shows back to back will strengthen their schedule with viewers.
So with The Tomorrow People no longer on Wednesdays, the series premiere of the post-apocalyptic drama The 100 will make its debut on March 19 in the post-Arrow timeslot.
You might be thinking, what about Hart of Dixie? We haven't forgotten. But The CW is making yet another shake-up by moving the Alabama-centered show to Friday nights beginning March 21 at 9pm.
Its lead-in will be season 2 of the revamped improv series Whose Line is it Anyway?, which will premiere on the same night with two all-new episodes from 8-9pm. The week after, Whose Line will only air one new episode at 8pm, then a repeat at 8:30pm. And if you want to catch up on last summer's installment of episodes, you can do that from February 14-March 14 in this same timeslot.
With shows moving to new nights left and right, it all might seem a little confusing. So to make everything clear, here is The CW's 2014 mid-season schedule:
Monday, February 17:
8pm: Star-Crossed (Series Premiere)
9pm: Beauty and the Beast
Monday, March 17:
9pm: The Tomorrow People (New Night)
Wednesday, March 19:
9pm: The 100 (Series Premiere)
Friday, March 21:
8pm: Whose Line is it Anyway? (Season Premiere)
8:30pm: Whose Line is it Anyway?
9pm: Hart of Dixie (New Night)
