Battlestar Galactica finally returns October 6 for a third season.
Lucy Lawless will be returning for ten episodes as the Cylon Number Three, known to the colonists as the journalist D'Anna Biers. In the two-hour season premiere, entitled "Occupation/Precipice," D'Anna visits the Oracle, an old woman named Selloi Dedona. Selloi chews chamalla leaves and tells the Cylon that she sees what D'Anna really is and knows all about her dreams and loss of faith. Selloi also reveals to D'Anna that Hera, the half-Cylon child born to Helo and the Cylon Sharon, is alive.
On New Caprica, Tyrol and Anders set off a bomb on a Cylon cruiser as part of the human resistance movement among the colonists. Laura Roslin, ostensibly just a school teacher once again, continues to play a part in the resistance by gathering intel about possible human collaborators among the Cylons.
Saul Tigh has been captured and is in a Cylon prison; Brother Cavil, a known Cylon, tells Tigh he'll be there for a long time. Ellen Tigh seems to have infiltrated the Cylon Planning Ministry, or at least found someone new to frak there.
A "central character" from the first of the summer webisodes is said to die in this episode.
