As the final season of
Battlestar Galactica continues, it feels like the stakes have been raised higher than ever. During the first three seasons I felt that most of the major characters were safe, but this year it seems that all bets are off. So far we've seen Cally get thrown out an airlock, Roslin's cancer progress further than ever, the Cylons face a civil war, and Sam shoot Gaeta (
Alessandro Juliani) in the leg. That's a lot of death and destruction in only six episodes, and we still have a long way to go before the season wraps up. Will anyone be left standing by the end?
To get fans ready for
Battlestar Galactica's next suspenseful installment, "Guess What's Coming to Dinner," we have some promo photos and a video preview of the episode.

First of all, let me say that I absolutely love the "Guess What's Coming to Dinner" title. It's the kind of cheeky episode title that I would expect from
Gossip Girl, not
Battlestar Galactica. However, it's important to remember that the original
Guess Who's Coming to Dinner film dealt with race relations, which has always been one of the major themes explored in
BSG. Will someone be shocking their fellow crew members by bringing a Cylon home this week? My guess is that Starbuck (
Katee Sackhoff) may be returning to the Galactica with Leoben.
Also in this week's episode, Hera meets the rogue Six aboard the Galactica, which leads to a tense confrontation with Athena. Aside from the Cylon throwdown, the first promo photo shows that we can expect to see Baltar (
James Callis) again as well.
The second photo gives us a glimpse of Sam, who is truly turning into an interesting character now that he's grappling with his Cylon nature. He's certainly handled the news much better than Tory, Tyrol (
Aaron Douglas), or Tigh, which leads me to believe that he'll play a major role in bridging the gap between the humans and the Cylons.
This scene from the episode shows that Adama isn't too pleased when the Cylon Basestar carrying Starbuck's crew appears out of nowhere. Unaware that Galactica crew members are aboard, the Admiral immediately launches an assault against the ship. However, Colonel Tigh (
Michael Hogan) senses what's really going on and attempts to stop the attack.
Episode 4.7 of
Battlestar Galactica airs Friday at 10pm on the Sci Fi Channel.
Are you excited to see more Baltar?
