Fantasy Flight Games, the Roseville, Minnesota-based game company that creates and publishes role-playing, board and card games, has announced that a board game based on Battlestar Galactica
is coming out this fall. Just like the show it is based on, the game will feature cooperative play with both political and military conflicts taking a huge role. More importantly, it lets fans play out the question: Are you a Cylon?
's rich storylines and compelling characters provide the perfect playground for a totally immersive gaming experience,” Adam Stotsky, executive vice president of global brand strategy and market development for the Sci Fi channel, said in a statement.
The premise of the game is quite simple if you're a Battlestar Galactica
fan, but it can be quite overwhelming with particulars if you're not familiar with the show. In the board game, every character has skills, whether they are political, engineering, or tactical. These skills play a massive part in how easily you can get to Kobol, the birthplace and original home of humanity in the fictional Battlestar Galactica
universe, and ultimately win the game.
Each player takes on the role of one of the characters from Battlestar Galactica
. At the same time, players also get a secret card that reveals whether or not they are human. In true Battlestar Galactica
style, players who think that they're human may find out later in the game that they've been Cylons all along.
The game board, which is setup to be played for two to three hours for maximum tension, also depicts the Galactica and nearby space, which may contain Cylon ships or other vessels.

board game, you can check out the game instructions and other details on Fantasy Flight Games' official site
