Laura Marano, who started acting in theater at the age of five, has appeared on numerous plays at the Stage Door Theater, and subsequently appeared in many national commercials. Her guest appearances include those on television shows such as Ghost Whisperer, Medical Investigation, Huff and Joan of Arcadia. Her first film appearance was in The Jacket, a movie produced by George Clooney and Steven Soderbergh which co-starred Oscar-winning actor Adrien Brody. She has recently completed two films, Superbad and Goldfish. Her recurring roles on television include those in The X's, Ni Hao Kai-Lan, Without a Trace and The Sarah Silverman Program. Aside from appearances, Marano also used her talents for voice overs for movies such as Finding Nemo and Ice Age 2: The Meltdown. When not acting, Marano likes to engage in soccer, piano, tap dancing and singing.

Gracie is played by Laura Marano on the television series Back to You. Gracie is the daughter of Kelly Carr, a single mom and news anchor whose team with Chuck Darling used to dominate Pittsburgh's local news scene. Chuck went away for a while to pursue greater career heights however he was forced to retreat back to the shadows because of an embarrassing on-air tirade that ended up on the Internet. Will this reunion reignite sparks that once flew between Chuck and Kelly?
