Kelsey Grammer is selling his 7,500-square foot Bridgehampton residence. The traditional-style structure is now on the market for $16.1 million, just under two times what the multi-Emmy Award-winning actor and his wife paid for when they acquired it two years ago.
This is the latest in a string of Grammer's habitual buying and selling forays in real estate.
Kelsey Grammer has several residences in Hawaii, Beverly Hills, Colorado and upstate New York. The 52-year old actor, who is still best known for playing the titular role of
Frasier, told Hamptons Magazine back in June that he and his wife, Camille, have a rather expensive and frivolous habit of procuring and remodeling homes.
"My wife and I have a bad habit of developing and renovating homes,” Grammer said in the interview. “It's a silly little hobby, and a little expensive, especially since we don't tend to sell them after we've bought them."
Their current property up for sale stands on 1.67 acres of land, has a heated Gunite pool, blue-stone terracing, a separate pool cottage with two fireplaces and a sunken Har-Tru tennis court. The Grammers originally purchased it for $8.5 million in 2005. It is now listed with Faye Weisberg of Sotheby's International Realty's Bridgehampton office.
