
Fans would be happy to know that Volume 3 of the third season DVD of
Avatar: The Last Airbender hit retail stores all over the United States yesterday, May 6. Late last year, Book 3: Fire, Volume 1, the first of four volumes, was made available for the retail price of $16.99. Volume 1 contained five episodes of the series, with an audio commentary by the creators of crew. While October 2007’s Volume 1 release included episodes “The Awakening,” “The Headband,” “The Painted Lady,” “Sokka's Master” and “The Beach,” yesterday’s Volume 2 release included just five episodes with no extras or features. The $16.99-worth Volume 2 included “The Avatar and the Fire Lord,” “The Runaway,” “The Puppetmaster,” “Nightmares and Daydreams” and “Day of Black Sun.”
Yesterday, the five-episode long Volume 3 DVD was released, and fans got the first look of four yet-unaired episodes of
Avatar: The Last Airbender.
Book 3: Fire, Volume 3 includes episodes “The Day of Black Sun, Part 2: The Eclipse” and the yet-unaired “The Western Air Temple,” “The Firebending Masters,” “The Boiling Rock: Part I” and “The Boiling Rock: Part II.”
The fourth installment of Volume 3 is set to be released on July 29 this year, but no further details about the DVD has yet been made public.
Meanwhile, Nick Magazine previously asked Avatar fans to send in their original Avatar art for the New York Comic Con, which was hosted by Nick Magazine's associate editor Dave Roman. A lot of entries were showcased, along with the popular Avatar: The Last Puppet Bender - Hot Air video clip shown below.
Meanwhile, Nickelodeon promises new episodes come July, and a high-resolution copy of the trailer for the season 3 finale has also been released. The trailer was previously shown in the New York Comic Con. Make sure to check back every now and then for more
