Avatar: The Last Airbender is an animated television series on Nickelodeon which takes place in an Asian-influenced world of martial arts merged with elemental magic. The show revolves around the journey of
Aang and his friends to the save the world from the evil Fire Nation. Moreover, the show is exhibited in the form of a book series, with each episode being a chapter and each individual season being a book.
Avatar: The Last Airbender is set in a fantasy land, home to humans and animals, not to mention supernatural spirits. Human civilization is divided into four groups, the Water Tribes, the Earth Kingdom, the Air Nomads and the Fire Nation. There are "Benders" within each nation, a group of men and women that has the ability to manipulate their native element. These Bending arts are incorporated with a certain style of martial arts which can be very powerful and even destructive. In each generation, there is one person who is capable of Bending all four elements. This person is called the Avatar, the spirit of the planet manifested in human form.
