Avatar: The Last Airbender fans have been waiting months, but the day is almost here. In the US, Nickelodeon began airing one new episode a day starting on Monday, leading up to the long awaited Avatar two-hour series finale, “Sozin's Comet.”

Already we are halfway through the Avatar: The Last Airbender week long event. “The Western Air Temple” was aired Monday night, and yesterday was “The Firebending Masters.” Tonight will be a special hour long Avatar episode combining both parts of “The Boiling Rock” – an episode that will prove to be a critical turning point before the big, series ending battle on Saturday.

In “The Western Air Temple,” we got to see a long awaited event – Zuko offering to join Aang's team to help bring down Fire Lord Ozai. Though Aang, Katara, Sokka and Toph were initially skeptical, Zuko proved resourceful in helping to bring down the creepily silent Combustion Man.

Though Katara remained wary of Zuko, he stayed on to help teach Aang firebending. However, in last night's episode “The Firebending Masters,” it was revealed that Zuko was having trouble with firebending himself. Both he and Aang had to travel to ancient ruins to research the first firebenders – and while there, they made some shocking discoveries.

Tonight, Sokka and Zuko will form an unlikely partnership to venture deep into the Boiling Rock, the Fire Nation's highest security prison. There they hope to find and free those who were captured by the Fire Nation during the failed eclipse invasion – as well as those who may have been captured before.

Of course, getting into such a heavily guarded prison won't be easy, and obstacles will block their every move – including the reappearance of the evil trio of Azula, Mai and Ty-Lee.

Be there tonight at 8pm when Nickelodeon airs “The Boiling Rock” to see all the action – and discover all of the consequences of Zuko and Sokka's daring plan. Don't forget to tune in tomorrow, Friday and Saturday as well as Avatar: The Last Airbender airs its last six episodes ever.
