Jon Hensley was born on August 26, 1965 in Browns Mills, New Jersey. His first role was given to him in 1985, as Brody Price in One Life to Live. Though this was a short acting stint, this led the way for him to be cast into another television series, As the World Turns also in 1985. He left the show to attend the Shakespeare Academy of Music, Drama and Art and came back in 1990. His other appearances include stints in Beverly Hills 90210, Almost Perfect and the television movie Wounded Heart.

Holden Snyder is played by Jon Hensley in the soap opera As the World Turns. Holden was born to Harvey and Emma Snyder and has four siblings and one adopted sister, who turned out to be Lily Walsh's mother. When Holden first met Lily as a stable boy at her mother's house, it was instant attraction for both of them. Lily was very welcome not only in Holden's arms but also in his family who seemed warm and supportive, in contrast with Lily's mother's controlling nature.
