Grayson McCouch was born on October 29, 1968 in New York. He was educated at the Hamilton College and later moved on to the British American Drama Academy through the Oxford-Yale program. The Williamstown Theater Festival was where he spent four seasons later, where he performed on Arturo UI, The Visit, Threepenny Opera, A Midsummer's Night Dream, Inherit the Wind and The Moon Stone. His first television appearance was on Another World (1993) where he played Dr. Morgan Winthrop. He also appeared in Legacy, All Souls, Beverly Hills 90210 and As the World Turns. Other appearances include Legacy the TV series, The Cosby Mysteries, and The Agency. McCouch starred in movies like Sins of the Mind, Armageddon, Airtight, and Momentum.

Dusty Donovan is played my Grayson McCouch on the soap opera As the World Turns. Dusty was the son of horse trainer, Burke Donovan. Dusty was a rebellious teen and did not know that the real reason why his father moved them to Oakdale was to destroy Gunnar St. Clair who was really Dusty's biological father and his late wife's former lover.
