Elizabeth Hubbard

Elizabeth Hubbard was born on December 22, 1933 in New York City and was educated at Radcliffe University where she graduated summa cum laude. She then pursued her theatrical education at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art in London. She became the first American to receive the school's silver medal. Hubbard has quite a career as a soap opera actress, being cast in 1962 as Anne Fletcher in The Guiding Light. A year later she joined the cast of The Edge of Night as Carol Kramer. In 1964, she was cast for another soap opera, The Doctors. She shortly appeared in One Life to Live before being cast for As the World Turns.

Lucinda Walsh is played by Elizabeth Hubbard in the soap opera As the World Turns. Born Mary Ellen Walters, Lucinda ran away from home after living with her father. She went to Montega, South America where she married Jacobo Estaban and had a daughter, Sierra. After her marriage failed, she went away and changed her name to Lucinda Walsh and married Martin Guest. They adopted a daughter and named her Lily. Martin committed suicide shortly and Lucinda got married yet again to a man named James Walsh. Because of her secrets about Lily's adoption, Lily became distant, especially as she found out that she was the daughter of Holden's adopted sister, Ivy. Years later their relationship was restored, as Lily healed her wounds.
